Crosshair Overlay Program

  1. Center Screen Crosshair Overlay

Oct 09, 2015  A couple of things not mentioned are that the crosshair you use needs to be a.png (for transparency) of 90x90 pixels (that's the size avatars in mumble have with the default overlay scale) and that you should add the games where you want the crosshair to the overlay exceptions whitelist so that you don't have a crosshair in EVERY game (you. RE: AW3418DW, built-in crosshair overlay? I see, but still your competitors like the Acer and Asus which are in the same line of top of the line gaming monitors have that feature. In that case thats too bad would have been a perfect monitor if it had a crosshair overlay.

Q: Does the use of Sweetfx get a player banned? I would like to use it for tweak of the game look and mood of it on my liking. This is also allowed in other games. What is the stance of BSG on this? A: No, SweetFX will not be detected and flagged as a cheat by our anti-cheat system. We are constantly making improvements to help catch and ban any player who wishes to gain an unfair advantage over other players. Could I get a mod input on this?

I have the EOD and I really dont want to be banned for this. There are semi transparent stickers (decals) being sold for the $1 per 10 on the internet. Any overlay application will need you run the game in the windowed (borderless) mode, what I do not prefer. But do not expect any 'changes the gameplay drastically' effect talks about. Hip fire is less accurate, your arms are moving as you breathe and the trajectory of the bullet will hardly meet your target at the center of the screen. Actually I believe if you'll try to aim with the screen center, you'll get very confused as the targets differ in distance very often. Laser is best way to go. I see both sides of this.

While some may simply say 'buy a laser/optic'. For those who dont have level 2/3 traders, this is much easier said then done. On the other hand.

I feel that artificial crosshairs are cheapo noobtown stuff anyways. Learn to use those iron's, you will gain steady access to optics soon enough. Should you be banned for it? However, if you are older than the age of 11. You should feel slightly ashamed about it. And this is definitely not the game for you if you are unable to progress without the use of said artificial crosshairs. Reshade can be the same way.

I dont use them, so I dont know; but if a reshade that increases your perception in any way, that's pretty cheap as well. I know most use them to improve gfx looks, and thats fine and dandy. But if it has the same effect as the gamma tweaks and you can even survive in night Factory without nvg's - youre practically cheating in my book.

If you dont know by now; the Vepr 136 is easily the best gun you can use until you get the 74N with lvl2 Prapor. Software spbu. You can put any Cobra sight/mount on it, Cobra sight/mount combo is 9k Rubles at Prapor lvl2; and PSO is 18k at the same level. There's also the Tactical Tula rear-sight for the AKM/Vepr that allows the mount of any small red dot/holo; again, with Prapor lvl 2.

If you have EoD, you can literally hatchet run your way to lvl 2 traders with the initial rep boost. All you gotta do is lvl yourself to 10 and buy/sell stuff with them. For now; learn to use those iron's, practice off-line until you are in love with that Vepr(trust me, it will happen ) Even with lvl 2 traders and access to optics/attachments I still use the Vepr since its probably the best gun in the game as far as price/effectiveness. Especially once you get access to 7.62 Armor Piercing rounds. Hell, even the regular PS ammo holds up real good against anything short of Fort armor. HP ammo is good for anyone without a thick sweater on.

A good early loadout for lvl 1 traders is; Vepr, one extra mag, 30-60 extra rounds(put in your secure container) scav vest, mbss, meds(painkillers, bandage, AI-2), and if you can find some kind of hat on Fence, to cover up your glowing white head you have a good gearset for less than 40k Rubles. Dont stress too hard, a profile wipe will be coming with the next big update; likely within a month.

So lose any and all personal attachment to all of your current gear, and just play for fun. Try to learn as much as you can, so you start off with a good roll when the wipe happens. Cheers, and best of luck to you. Hey Gr8whitebuffalo! Im over 500 hours player do yeah, im not a noob anymore.

Proof is today I ganked two fully armored (kevir and forts) with a Sks + silencer+ OPK sight. Both shot em dead then proceeded to loot. Man frustrating other players like this is just perfect. As for the crosshair I just use it as a reference as I never really hipfire, it just sucks so bad. Anyways, I just wanted to be reassured I was not going to be banned because I increased my graphic details using that reshader. Also, the Crosshair can be hidden by a hotkey (H in that case) which I usually disable unless using a scope'd weapon (ex: OP SKS) to know where my bullets are going in hipfire. However if any mod tell me thats a problem.

Actually I believe if you'll try to aim with the screen center, you'll get very confused as the targets differ in distance very often. Laser is best way to go. You don't really 'hip fire' in this game.

Your gun is always on your shoulder ready to go, so the 'hip firing' is actually really strong. You'll be a lot faster and efficient if you train yourself to use the hipfire than if you add a red dot on your screen. Faster than having a permanent red dot showing you instantaneously where you are firing? If it's was true CS: GO and other FPS pro gamers will never use crosshair.

It's again a paradoxal situation of a 'realistic hardcore FPS'. Think about that. EFT don't have any crosshair, but your character always aim at the center of the screen with a good accuracy. So if you add a crosshair from other program you gain an advantage. Any program that give you an advantage against other players is a cheat, right? But this is allowed by DEV?

Again a good idea badly implemeted. Dev should add crosshair or increase the dispersion with hipfire. Hipfire should be useful only on an emergency situation at very close range.

There's plenty of ways to overlay a borderless window crosshair. But using borderless windowed mode increases input lag and can adversely affect performance, especially on lower end systems.

DISCLAIMER: I wanted to make sure that I was not in breach of the EULA before using this method for a custom crosshair overlay, as some methods of overlaying elements in full screen are intrusive and could possibly be used to gain an unfair advantage. 08:12 PMPosted by Crosshair overlay can't be bannable. I believe there are even monitors you can buy from big time, reputable manufacturers that have this feature built right in. Only Asus moniters have this feature as far as I know, and only on a few models: MG248Q, MG28UQ and MG24UQ. I thought of buying one just for the crosshair feature haha, but I already have a decent gaming monitor and I'm not made of money.

My PG279Q has it. I don't use it because it is ulgy AF and overdone. I will give a try to Overwolf, just keep in mind that this software in harvesting your personal data like crazy, like the big-data of gaming industry. 12:30 AMPosted by My PG279Q has it. They only gather personal info if you make an account, and if you use the browser overlay they have access to your history. I don't have an online account and I don't use the browser, so I don't see any of this as an issue. You could of course block the program in windows firewall from accessing the internet, as it functions fine without it. Virustotal scans reveal nothing wrong with the file/archive, however it is important to Know that even they can't detect everything (seen it for myself). I'm currently working on a simple json edit (with an online editor) and re-adding it into the archive (via 7zip portable). This will work as a form of duplication for the extension, allowing the users to toggle between 2 or 3 crosshairs (I will only make 2 duplicates, it's not hard but I will try to edit the icons and a few x-hairs myself as well).

Will return with an edited post or a new reply - in the meantime, got any suggestions for uploading the files? (or shall I use github as well?) EDIT: By the way, it is possible to use animated gifs renamed to.png and they will playback (you can easily make them with GIMP) - transparency is of course supported.
