The 10th edition of the Pierce Piano Atlas notes Grinnell Bros was established as an organ manufacturer in 1882 in Detroit, Michigan, and started making pianos in 1902. They also made Lenard, Leonard Clayton, Playtona, Holly & Uxbridge reed organs. In 1995 Samick built some pianos for Grinnell Brothers in Dearborn Heights, Michigan.
